What it is
The Golden Record is a proprietary ground truth engine — a curated corpus of expert-built clinical scenarios that govern the platform's AI logic. It is not generic training data. It is structured clinical intelligence built by professionals who know what a federal audit evaluates, what documentation patterns survive review, and what assumptions collapse under scrutiny.
How the Golden Record differs from generic AI training data
General-purpose language models like ChatGPT are trained on broad internet text and can generate confident but incorrect medical coding suggestions. The Golden Record is fundamentally different. It is a curated set of expert-built clinical scenarios — each one reviewed by risk adjustment professionals with direct CMS audit experience. The Golden Record governs what the Pocket Auditor can and cannot suggest. If a scenario is not represented in the Golden Record, the system flags a gap instead of guessing.
How it works
Evidence Gates
Every condition defines minimum proof requirements. If clinical input does not meet the evidence threshold, the system refuses to suggest a code and flags the gap.
Anti-Assumption Trap Cases
Deliberately crafted scenarios designed to catch hallucination patterns. A traumatic amputation that is not diabetic. A CKD that is hypertensive, not diabetic. The system is trained to refuse assumptions.
MEAT Evidence Chains
Every suggested code is linked to Monitor / Evaluate / Assess / Treat documentation — the standard federal auditors use. Structured for defensibility from the moment of generation.
The Golden Record architecture is designed and under active development. Initial conditions (Heart Failure, CKD, Morbid Obesity) are seeded. Coverage is expanding with each iteration. For conditions not yet in the validated library, the system operates in restricted mode — applying baseline evidence-gating without condition-specific recommendations.
